Projects

An acquisitions editor is always on the hunt for fresh ideas and voices. From the first flash of inspiration to the fireworks accompanying the final product, publishing a book can take 9 months to 2 years. It's a ridiculously long wait, but time has a way of making good things better (think cheese and wine) and ideas are no exception. These projects were developed to amplify the author's brand and message and broaden the platform for their other ventures, personal and professional.

Feed Zone Cookbook

Acquisitions Editor

Exercise physiologist Dr. Allen Lim teamed up with Chef Biju Thomas to help athletes fuel their workouts and eat better throughout the day with simple meals requiring minimal culinary skills and basic ingredients. It was the first cookbook of its kind, achieving its goal of getting athletes into the kitchen and leading to the two additional cookbooks in this bestselling series.

The Brave Athlete

Acquisitions Editor

Using a potent combination of science, practical experience, frank talk, and failure-inspired wisdom, Simon Marshall and Lesley Paterson solve the problems of real athletes. He's an expert in sport psychology and she's a world champion athlete (they also happen to be married); together they offer athletes an arsenal of strategies to target identity, confidence, motivation, setbacks, body image, anxiety, fear, and pressure.

Believe Training Journal

Acquisitions Editor

First self-published by pro runners Lauren Fleshman and Roisin McGettigan-Dumas, this journal was reimagined for anyone looking to chase down a big goal. These journals are packed with inspiration, information, and interactive exercises to help runners keep track of their journey, both as an athlete and as a human. From here the series grew to include a journal for more competitive athletes and a simple logbook for purists.
